Newcastle has spawned some truly talented artists in recent years, and Maids are a big fish in that barrel. It must be something in the water. It seems they're receiving a lot of well deserved attention as of late, and from all the right people. They recently won the opportunity to open the Fat As Butter festival on Newcastle's foreshore, courtesy of Triple J Unearthed. And earlier this year, Maids schooled us all with the release of their debut, self-titled EP. It boasts a unique and refreshing grunge-does-indie-rock style, trademarked by down tuned guitars and haunting vocal melodies. They're offering up their debut release on a name-your-price basis, so check under the seat of your car and donate those lost coins to the Maids coffer. Because we want more Maids!
